Israeli airport police say a couple going on a European vacation remembered to bring their duty-free shopping and their 18 suitcases, but forgot their 3-year-old daughter at the airport.
I find humor in the article comment that the Israeli media play up stories about kids and neglect/abuse. They should take their cue from the American media and play up ALL stories.
The fact that it happened to this family is just neglagents , and lesson learned , I am sure they never ment it to happen , people need to slow down and organize they should have stopped and took notice of all family members and luggage and started to board the plane , I just hate flying , It's just a wake up call next time maybe it won't end on a happier note
I find it funny that the child was a female. They Jewish faith believes that Christ has not made the Second Coming yet and that he could return with the birth of any male child at any time. Is this indicative of how they treat their female population. I wonder if they would have forgotten the child if it was a young male?
I don't think any of these incidents were "accidents". It's just another way to get rid of children that people don't want. Those people should be forcibly STERILIZED so they can't have more children. No one will ever know how much emotional trauma these children have suffered, and what it will do to them in the future. I find people like these DISGUSTING, and hope I never meet them in person.
Did Mary and Joseph for get Jesus , did they not
Yes, JuJu, Mary and Joseph did forget Jesus, BUT, at the time, he was 12 yrs old, and was in the temple with the rabbi's and teachers, and he also had parents who knew He was special. And as far as we were aware, there weren't perverts around, and child molesters as we know them today.
Some people shouldn't have children!
A number of years ago my wife and I were having a child. We went to her OBGYN for a regular appointment. In the waiting room there were no less than three other pregnant women. Each had two other small children with them. Each was obviously of the jewish persuasion. We waited for our appointment, which was after the other womens. My wife was finally escoted into the examining area and I stayed in the lobby. I began to ponder what I had seen and asked the receptionist if this scenario was a normal one. She said most of their patients are from the local jewish neighborhood and many are repeat customers with two and three children each. I must have had an interesting look on my face because the receptionist also added that the U.S. GOVERNMENT is paying them to have children. I was astonished by this statement and inquired for more details. She continued to explain that if they are married to a Rabbi there is federal funding for them to procreate. Their bills are paid directly by the U.S. GOVERNMENT. Hence by you and I thru our taxes. I think this practice needs to be reviewed by someone and stopped immediately!
That's not true. They have the same right as you and I to seek assistance if they choose, as long as they are American. Having lots of children has everything to do with their beliefs. When they marry they are to have as many children as the stars in the sky. They are very specific on the reasoning of getting married, there are a lot of arranged marriages. I have always found that they take care their own. They have their own schools, business's that are closed to observe their sabbath, which they hire only Jewish people. Restaurants that honor the kosher foods. The wife and family always behind the man when walking. Their business have 2 prices, one for you and I, and one for their people. It has never bothered me, I was always curious. I also had a Jewish roommate at college. I can't understand how anyone could forget a child! It happens though.
Not even joking. Yesterday I was driving my car on a street right below Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles and found a 2 yr old girl walking in the middle of the street w NOONE around. I thought I was seeing things. Make a long story short I pulled over and picked her up and began asking her where her Mommy was and she aimlessly pointed. I eventually found a home 300 ft up a hill , 15 feet below Sunset Blvd, full of Orthodox Jews praying at a Chabadd. The beautiful little girl belonged to a woman in there w 4 other kids. The mother could have cared less and stood there and talked w me as I was holding her baby in my arms for 2 minutes. She didn't reach for her once but was saying very non-chalant, "I don't know how I could have replaced her...blah blah blah." This little girl could have been abducted, hit by a car, who knows but its disgusting to me the carelessness of parents. Forget religion. I am jewish. Nothing should be more important than a child. Nothing!
Agreed Scott-405824
Jewish or not, an abandoned or unattended child/ren is just wrong.
Thank you for doing what you did. For taking the time too care enough to being involved with helping out when it was needed. Most of all for not looking the other way and *expecting someone else to take care of the little girl walking alone down a street at such a young age. Who knows what would have happened to the little girl.
*Which I think is how people (parents) forget their children..perhaps they think someone else should pick up where they take leave of their sensibilities and responsibilities.
18 Suitcases? 5 Children? Charter to Paris? Sounds like another episode of the rich and clueless!! Forget your purse...forget your keys...forget a carry-on, but your CHILD??? Stupid people just shouldn't be allowed to have children! Why weren't the older children looking out for her? Send her to me and I'll make sure she's loved and NEVER just 'left or forgotten'...anywhere! She'd make a great 'sister' for my 2 year old daughter!
How in the HELL do you EVER loose a child like that? There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever!!!! There should be a test in every country in the world that you must pass in order to be a parent.
I haven't always been the best Mother in the world, but leave my 3 yr old in an airport? I don't think so. Contrary to what the grandmother says, these people are not well organized, etc, etc.
Hmm, sounds like a story I once read...in the Bible, Lk, 2:41. This also happened to a friend of mine with 5 kids--thier youngest was in the baby carrier, and each thought the other took the baby...until they got half-a-mile down the road and realized they'd left her behind! Fortunately, a compassionate staff person stayed with the baby, knowing they would be back shortly! Congrats to the kind and diligent workers at the Ben Gurion Airport!
Sounds like Mary and Joseph in Luke 2:41. A similar thing happened to friends of ours--their youngest was in a baby-carrier, and each parent thought the other had the baby, until they got a half-mile down the road with their other 4 children, and realized the baby wasn't strapped in her usual place. The "I thought YOU had him!" scenario is more common than you would think.
I've got to say though, that getting ON THE AIRPLANE and still not realizing she was missing is pretty noodle-brained. I would assume she needed a seat, or a parent's lap! Thank goodness for the compassionate and on-task staff of Ben Gurion Airport, or this story would have had a different ending.
Oh, this has my dander stirred up. The Duggars from Arkansas have 18 children, and with all of the traveling they do, they have yet to leave one behind, and the parents are always aware of what their kids are doing. And the older children help with the younger ones. Maybe we should all take a lesson from them.
Oh no, not the Duggars! Talk about over population! Please take NO lessons from them! Please....
Lol! Agree! Modern pioneers of over-population! I bet if things get tough they go and pop another baby and pray for an interview... I shudder to think about how the wife 'feels'... Ewww.
